BUCHELE is thus expanding its product portfolio with a new generation of security doors, windows and gates for the building security sector. This is because the security aspect is becoming increasingly relevant. With its three product categories, the new SHELTERline combines the highest level of civil protection with unique quality to protect people or valuables and to be safe at all times when danger threatens.
A door of the “SHELTERline” model range combines, among other things, explosion and bullet resistance and also combines property protection and quality to the highest degree.
The doors of the “Type D” model variants are characterized by their high-quality properties. They protect against explosion pressure up to 800 kPa, have burglary protection up to resistance class RC5, withstand up to fire protection class EI290 and are also gas-tight and bullet-resistant up to resistance class FB7. This distinguishes the new door variant from the other doors and gates in the existing product range. For this reason, the “SHELTERline” is an innovative model that provides the necessary security in buildings. It is for example, therefore, used in civilian shelters, in private homes or in shelter facilities.
All three types have the Emergency Close system, which can be effectively closed with a few simple steps and thus offers security within seconds. Once the danger situation has passed, the doors can be opened from the inside using the “Easy-Remove-System”. The hinges can be removed and the door can be pushed open outwards, even if it is blocked by debris, for example.
In addition to the SHELTERIine Type D, BUCHELE has developed the Type H, an innovative window flap that can be closed within a very short time. The flap‘s multifunctional safety devices are designed to meet the highest safety requirements. Both rooms with small windows as well as comparatively larger areas can be protected with this system. In combination with “Type D” model variant and, for example, steel-reinforced interior walls for shelters, BUCHELE can offer a holistic concept if required.
BUCHELE‘s shelter gates are manufactured in a wide variety of designs – always individually adapted to the respective requirements and framework conditions. The requirements for each shelter are different, so each door is designed and manufactured for each project and environment to ensure maximum protection.
The airtight doors by BUCHELE are certified in accordance with DIN 1026 and are classified in accordance with DIN EN 12207 in different so called air permeability classifications. The test is to determine how many m³ of air gets into a room within an hour starting from a low breeze up to a hurricane. Special four-sided seals reduce penetrating air masses. For special high demands the contact pressure may be increased with additional locking mechanisms.
Explosion and pressure-resistant fire doors up to 20 kPa and EI90
There are very high safety requirements when storing hazardous substances. Particular attention is paid to the protection of persons in the adjacent danger zone. On one hand BUCHELE-doors reduce the risk of an explosion, on the other hand they also withstand the resulting pressure load in an emergency. Due to the quantity and type of substances stored, each pressure door is unique and is designed, calculated and built according to specific customer requirements. To absorb the enormous forces, special locking systems are used that are specially developed and manufactured at BUCHELE.

Fire protection from EI30 to EI90 - and bullet-resistance up to FB 6
BUCHELE security doors are tested in accordance with DIN EN 1627 - and offer burglary protection in resistance classes RC 2 to RC 6 and up to FB6, depending on the model. These classes have been verified in the test stands of authorized institutes on functional installed door elements. Additional equipment variants such as glazing and ventilation grilles in the door leaf were also tested, and the fire doors are also tested for bullet resistance in accordance with DIN EN 1522. The fire and smoke protection doors made by BUCHELE are tested in accordance with the latest European standards.

Electronic access and monitoring systems
The security doors in classes RC2 to RC4 can be fitted with all suitable lock systems. As each door is manufactured individually according to customer requirements, the installation of electronic access and monitoring systems is also no problem for BUCHELE security doors.
Use in escape and rescue routes possible
Basically all BUCHELE security doors are tested and approved for installation in escape routes. This also applies to doors with glazing including resistance class RC4.

Versatility and elegance combined - with the highest demand on design and function
With the Rotary-Line, Buchele presents its latest innovation: vertically mounted swing doors made of steel, which can be used multifunctionally as object, sound or fire protection doors.
And: They set new standards in versatility and aesthetics. Unlike normally mounted doors and gates, the Rotary-Line doors are connected to the ceiling and floor by concealed hinges at the top and bottom of the door leaf. When opening, the door leaf elegantly rotates around its own axis. The door leaf is running so smooth that the door can easily be opened with the elbow or the hip without any problems – even with multiple function options. The optional concealed hydraulic door closing system ensures that the door closes again by itself when required. Thanks to the special design of the Rotary-Line doors, no hinges are visible. At the same time, the design of the doors can be individually adapted to the architecture and interior design of the building or room. There are no limits to the design possibilities. Thus, they appear invisible when closed, but offer a unique spatial effect when opened.
Rotary-Line doors by Buchele are suitable for versatile use in private rooms, offices, public buildings, museums, restaurants, stores and much more. An extremely sturdy door leaf (80 mm thick) as well as a 2,0 mm metal sheet provide excellent properties and even sound insulation. In an emergency the door may be opened fastly from the outside – even if if sombody or something is pushing-up against it from the inside. The optional avalilable food flap, a winde angle door viewer (both flush on the inner side of the cell), a fast locking system as well as a transom light made of shatterproof safety glazing for illumination and cameras are practical accessories that make work easier.

For special use and strict requirements
Our doors and gates are proven in unusual and highly sensitive areas.
Natural forces such as storm and floods become more and more extreme. The flood protection doors and windows by BUCHELE are designed for this purpose. Underground garages, appartment buildings, industrial buildings: the use is versatile.
When storing hazardous substances there are strict requirements on safety. There, particular attention is paid to the personnel that are within the danger zone. BUCHELE-doors on one hand reduce the risk of an explosion on the other hand the doors withstand a pressure load in an emergency situation.
Radiation protection doors are used were people or animals have to be protected against x-ray, gamma or electron radiation. Therefore, those doors mainly find their application in medical and research areas. BUCHELE-radiation protection doors are designed and manufactured in accordance with DIN 6834. As performance characteristics the lead equivalent value is expressed in mm.
Increasing electromagnetic emissions require the use of shielding measures for instance against lightning discharge (LEMP), interaction of devices (EMC) or disturbances and health impairment due to electrosmog caused by radar, transmission masts and power supply lines. For this reason BUCHELE shielding doors are certified in accordance with IEEE 299 and work in a frequency range between 10 kHz and 10 GHz. This is achieved due to a patented HF-sealing system in connection with a barrier-free hump threshold. The BUCHELE-shielding doors may also be combined with other features such as fire protection, sound protection and property protection.
Transformer DoorsBUCHELE transformer station doors are manufactured in accordance with DIN EN 62271-202 (VDE 0671-202). As a basic equipment we provide a grounding connection between door leaf and frame as well as a separate connection for the frame to the grounding cycle on site. The BUCHELE door stopper stops the door automatically at a 90 ° angle. The installation of pickproof ventilation grilles is done individually in size and shape according to customer’s demands. Each grille is secured with an internal bird screen 10x10 mm.

The doors of the BUCHELE GLASS DELUXE series are characterized by their high sound insulation value of up to Rw,P 47 dB. The flush mounted look is extremely stylish. The sturdy, impact resistant security glazing may be used as highly sound insulating and transparent door for offices or meeting rooms as well as in testing or inspection rooms, studios and broadcasting centers, in industrial facilities, research institutes or clean rooms. Due to its basic depth of 70 millimeters the door may be used as exterior door and has an excellent thermal insulation. Lock, door closer, retractable bottom seal and hinges are invisibly hidden behind a black rim frieze and seem to be indiscernibly.
Double walled steel folding gates & sliding gates
These door types are used where large openings have to be closed off in interior or exterior areas and where no special demands regarding fire protection, sound protection or property protection are required. For the use of the gates in exterior areas additional features like driving rain impermeability, resistance against wind loads or thermal insulation are available. Since CE labeling is mandatory since February 2010 for all exterior gates BUCHELE marks each gate accordingly and also issues a declaration of performance for each gate.
Fire protection and sound insulation as well as various safety characteristics are standard features and may be combined – also with special requirements such as flood protection, radiation protection, high frequency shielding and many more. At BUCHELE DELUXE elegance and perfect design meet functionality, which are tested and certified. „These functional doors may be refined with an individual finish“, managing director Jürgen Buchele explains.

Besides the usual painting in RAL colours there are also special colours and very unique designs available. And: very unique surfaces, such as concrete, wood in its wide variety, copper look, stainless steel and many more design types are possible. „At the fair we only display a small selection of the wide range of possibilities“, Buchele announces. „With BUCHELE DELUXE you can create sophisticated architectural highlights and let doors vanish in facades of buildings or set special visual accents“, Jürgen Buchele explains the possibilities.
Sound insulation up to 60 dB, fire protection up to T90, bullet resistant (FB7) or be protected agains burglary – up to RC5.
